The Development of Excellence Committee within the LCB Executive structure has a responsibility for overseeing the Development of Excellence programme throughout the County. The prime focus is one the County Age Groups form Under 19 down to Primary U11 level. The committee is assisted in this by the Lancashire Federation who organise the Under 19 side, and by LSCA who take care of the age groups from Under 15 to Primary.
As part of the process of ensuring all potential players of the future are looked after the LCCC and LCB jointly introduced the LEVELS OF EXCELLENCE SCHEME. This Scheme monitors the development of young players through LEVELS 1, 2 and 3 , and for the successful few on to the COUNTY ACADEMY. Players submit Log Sheet records on all performances, and these details are circulated to coaches and managers on a regular basis. From these returns information about individual performances of merit will be posted, and in turn these will be used to identify the Players of the Month throughout the coming season.
Last year, was the second year, the Lancashire Junior County age groups squads are supported by Vimto.

LCB Emerging Players Programme (EPP)
The Emerging Players Programme revolves around a player centred approach and considers how best we can support the development of the selected young players with elite performance potential on every step of the player pathway. EPP aims to underpin and support the LCCC Academy creating a link between County age group cricket and the LCCC Academy, providing an enhanced talented player pool with the appropriate knowledge and skills to progress to the LCCC Academy.
