Ways to fund Cricket

This section of the LCB website is aimed at providing information on funding and fundraising opportunities for cricket clubs and cricket development groups. Updates on new or existing schemes and generic funding news items will be provided in our Funding and Fundraising news section on the right.

There are many finding organisations to fund community programmes and this list can be accessed here - Funding Organisations.

Please also find below a scheme of funding run by the Lancashire County Youth Charitable Trust.

The Lancashire County Youth Cricket Charitable Trust

The Trust was the brainchild of former LCCC Chairman, Cedric Rhodes and receives money through donations, gifts or appeals, which are invested in Youth Cricket. Many members of LCCC contribute on an annual basis to this worthy cause.

We are in a fortunate position to be left a large legacy by CYRIL BAILEY WILLIAMS. Not a lot is known about Cyril suffice to say he resided in Bramhall and was a long standing Lancashire member. He did not have family to speak of and very kindly donated his estate to the club he loves!

Information about the Trust is contained in a Trust Deed, but the main criteria is that money is always allocated to the development of the game at grass roots level. On many occasions, an allocation is received by the Lancashire Cricket Board on behalf of Youth Cricket and distributed accordingly.
