Bobby Denning Appointed as LCB Managing Director
The Directors of the Lancashire Cricket Board are pleased to announce the appointment of Bobby Denning as Managing Director of the Lancashire Cricket Board following their meeting on 12 May.
Bobby has been in the role of Acting Director since 10th October 2013 and prior to that the Head of Development for the LCB. As Managing Director he has overall responsibility for all of the LCB Departments, staffing and its operations, whilst working with Heads of Departments. A key part of the role will be to work closely with the England & Wales Cricket Board to deliver ECB’s Strategic Cricket Plan - Champion Counties 2014-17 for Lancashire and in particular Lancashire’s Outcomes. He will also continue the effective daily working relationships with the Lancashire County Cricket Club and Foundation via a formal Memorandum of Understanding. He reports to the LCB Board of Directors.
Bob Hinchliffe, Chairman of the LCB, said: “The Directors are delighted that Bobby has accepted their offer of a permanent position following his successful tenure as Acting Director. It is just reward for his hard work over this period and the Directors hope that it will be the start of a long and successful appointment.”
Bobby Denning, on his appointment, added: “I am delighted to be appointed as Managing Director of the LCB and look forward to the challenge of delivering against the National Strategic Plan and local priorities. I would like to thank the Board of Directors and my fellow colleagues for their support over the past 6 months.”
At the same meeting, Bobby Cross was appointed as Vice-Chairman of the Board.
