Weekend Duty Officer vacancy
Indoor Cricket Centre are recruiting for a Weekend Duty Officer. Weekends Hours between 9.00am – 4.00pm / 4.00pm – 10.00pm (holiday cover for weekday evening hours between 5.00pm and 10.00pm also available).
Rate of pay £6.26 per hour.
Lancashire County Cricket Club is a prestigious international and county cricket venue. Our Cricket Centre is at the forefront of indoor cricket practice with a facility that is admired and envied by those working in the game. The facilities are available to hire by anyone looking to practice and improve their play, with regularly programmed evening and weekend activities ranging from junior beginner lessons to County Age Group and LCCC Academy squads.
During your shift you will be the main contact for customers, which will involve ensuring players use the correct nets and assisting them with any other enquiries. You will also be responsible for the safety and security of the indoor cricket centre and its customers, liaising with the on-site Club security team and carrying out locking-up duties.
Other main tasks include: configuring the nets area for each activity; liaising with coaches to provide them with equipment required; controlling the stock of cricket balls and equipment; setting up classrooms for meetings; preparing light refreshments and general housekeeping.
This role will suit someone with customer service experience, ideally with from within a sporting environment. We are looking for someone who can multitask and work under their own initiative. The role also involves manual handling, however full training will be provided in all aspects of the role. Hours of work will vary between evenings and weekends, therefore you must be flexible with your availability.
