LCB Scouts - Volunteer Vacancies
The LCB is looking to recruit volunteer, expenses paid scouts to help underpin the current player pathway.
They will report to the LCB Performance Manager and the Development of Excellence Sub-Committee.
The expectation is to use experienced players throughout Lancashire (current or past) and coaches who have the time and ability to watch enough meaningful cricket. It would be useful for the LCB Performance Manager (PM) and Lancashire County Cricket Club Academy Director (AD) to be able to call on key personnel to look at specific players, which could still be communicated through the Development of Excellence Sub-Committee and to relevant coaches / managers.
As a steer, we would expect to recruit a Head Scout to help oversee the process and 3 - 6 other scouts. In time, we see these roles as an integral part of the development of talented cricketers within Lancashire.
The completion of paperwork would be required and a manual / form would have to be devised to promote consistency. This would need to be stage specific.
Time commitment would be negotiated based on level of interest.
Scouts would receive guidance in how to approach the role and be educated into what we are looking for.
