County Age Group Managers Required
The Lancashire Schools Cricket Association (LSCA) assists the Lancashire Cricket Board in the delivery of Boys County Age Group Cricket and does this primarily by the supply of Managers for each of the age groups from Under 10s to Under 15s.
We now have opportunities for two appropriately experienced individuals to join the County Age Group Cricket set up, specifically at Under 12 and Under 13 levels.
These are voluntary positions (with full travel expenses and other cricket related benefits applying) and will suit individuals with plenty of experience of involvement with and managing junior teams at club and preferably District Level.
One key requirement is the time available to manage an age group, particularly from May through to August, including attendance at matches (approximately 10) and at the Age Group Cricket Festival (one week).
Stephen Titchard, Performance Manager for the LCB, commented: "The LSCA in its supporting role with the LCB assist in providing County Age Group managerial support, predominately throughout the summer match phase of the performance programme. The LCB view these appointments as a key factor in the liaison with match day officials, County opposition personnel, players and parents. This is a great opportunity for individuals who can demonstrate a passion and skill for supporting our developing young County players."
