Saturday 9th March 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Ullswater Road, Penrith, CA11 7EG.

Our colleagues at the Cumbria Cricket Board have asked us to advertise their Coaches Conference. Details provided below.

SPIN – Bowling It and Batting Against It

Lead Coaches:

Ali Maiden (England Women’s Batting Coach, Durham CCC Academy Coach) and Gareth Breese (West Indies, Jamaica and Durham spin bowling all-rounder).

The morning session will be led by Ali and Gareth and will focus on bowling and batting with the objective of facilitating “thinking as coaches”.

Following a short lunch break there will be a brief session led by Tony Robson (ECBCA Training Manager) on Teaching Games for Understanding (TGFU) which will give the attendees some activities to take away and use.

The main afternoon session will involve Ali and Gareth working with a small group of young players, demonstrating to the attendees how to put their ideas into practice.

Also in attendance will be representatives of Stuart Surridge and Kalibazar with examples of their kit and equipment, and the opportunity to win some of their products.

The cost of the day is £35 for ECBCA members and £45 for non-members.
