LCBCA Members Invited to Academy Sessions

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

In February / March a number of coaches were invited to Academy Sessions at the LCCC Indoor Cricket Centre to have a good look at the methods used by the LCCC coaching staff when working with high quality players.

There was also the opportunity to take part in discussion sessions with Peter Moores (LCCC Head Coach) and John Stanworth (LCCC Academy Director), where we heard about their coaching philosophies and how they go about trying to get players to take a full part in their own development. What had taken place during the sessions was reflected upon and the LCBCA members in attendance had the chance to ask questions and take part in an informal discussion about anything to do with what had taken place.

All the coaches who attended, whether they were Level 3 Coaches or Club Coach Award holders, found the whole event really useful and enlightening. With this in mind we have put together some video footage which records activities that took place over the two nights.

This video was produced by Dave Roscoe and the students at Burnage Arts and Media College to whom we are very grateful.

Great idea. Could you run sessions for more coaches. I am a club coach and would like to pick up some ideas and tips on how to improve my players and also my coaching skills
