Indoor Cricket Centre Activities
The Indoor Cricket Centre here at the Lancashire County Cricket Club are pleased to provide details of their cricket & coaching programmes.
Thunderbolts Tots Club (3-6 year olds)
Tots Club is a weekly session for young budding cricketers aged 3–6yrs to start learning to play the game. The sessions are 45mins long, which is just enough time to keep them interested, active and learning.
By developing fundamental skills such as throwing, catching, running and balance within a cricketing context, young players are exposed to the game in a fun and exciting environment.
Every Saturday morning (9.15am – 10am) £2 per session.
Thunderbolts Saturday Club (7-11 year olds)
Our Saturday Club session is for the 7-11 year olds and is ideal for those who are just taking up the game or progressing from Tots Club. Here we’ll be building on their natural movement, co-ordination and balance to build up their cricket technique in all areas, as well as providing challenges to aid their development.
The sessions are 90mins long, which is enough time for the coaches to work them hard with discipline-specific drills and put that practice into match-play situations at the end of the session.
Every Saturday morning (10am – 11.30pm) £4 per session.
One Day Holiday Courses
This course covers all aspects of the game. The mixture of fundamental coaching and indoor cricket games provides players with the ideal opportunity to develop skills and put them into practice.
The aim of the programme is to develop cricket skills within a group coaching environment. During the first session players will be graded according to ability and will be allocated their own coach and lane for the 5 weeks.
This course allows players to focus on specific disciplines to help them refine their technique as part of their pre-season training.
Players will be introduced to advanced tactics and exposed to strength & conditioning, psychology and fitness to enhance their overall athletic development.
Intro to Cricket Course
This course is designed for Adults who are completely new to the game of Cricket. During this 4-week course you will develop the fundamental techniques used to bat, bowl, keep wicket and field. Adult Corporate 6-a-side Cricket
