"This is a fantastic showcase for Last Man Stands in Lancashire. Team Manchester we’re the English National Champions in 2011, which earned them the opportunity to fly over to South Africa to play in the World Championships. Last Man Stands is going from strength to strength with Manchester now being a strong 8 league competition. We also have leagues in The Wirral, Liverpool and we are currently setting up a new league in Bolton. Last Man Stands is at the forefront of our wider recreational cricket offer helping us to retain players in the game, offering a different and exciting format of cricket to the traditional club setting and to attract new players to our sport. This is yet another opportunity to promote Last Man Stands and is a fantastic achievement from both Imran and Bilal, some top tips from Darren Gough and Ian Harvey could mean another World Championship visit for Team Manchester this year.’’ said Jasmine Titmuss, LCB Adult Participation Officer.
