Lancashire Disabled Cricket Incrediball squad lost to Derbyshire on Sunday 09 June at Middleton CC.

After winning the toss Lancashire elected to bat on a glorious sunny afternoon.

Openers Nigel Robinson and John Simpson put on 23 for the first wicket before Robinson was caught at slip. Next in was Callum Savage who scored 16 until he was bowled by Jones. Wickets then fell at regular intervals with only Richard Holmes and John Simpson both scroing 29. A disappointing total of 150 all out was all Lancashire could muster on a good batting track.

Derbyshire’s reply started at a brisk rate with 56 on the board until the first wicket fell. Opener Dutton bowled by Savage for 36. The next wicket fell at 99 Darkins bowled by Holmes for 25 and the final wicket fell at 116, Jones caught behind for 2. Hopkins and Odedra got the winning runs to finish the game at 153 for 3 with 4 overs to spare.

Alan Foster Lancashire’s Coach said: "Whilst credit must go to Derbyshire, in truth we were never in the game, which is disappointing with all the hard work the lads have put in recently. However I have no doubt they will bounce back for the next game away against Northants."

The squad would like to thank the Committee and all at Middleton CC for hosting the match.
