Young Lions Clinch Victory in Roses Clash to Secure Title
Lancashire Lions Development Team retained the North & East Development League Title with an emphatic 153 run victory over Yorkshire on Sunday 08 September.
The Lions were put into bat and scored 217 declared from 23 overs without loss of a wicket. This included a 53 from 12 year old Usman Afridi, 50 from George Ferguson, 15 from 11 year old Michel Dixon on debut and 10 not out from 12 year old Wasim Afridi. Players were retired to give others the opportunity to bat.
Yorkshire managed 64 all out from 23 overs with the pick of bowling being Sheraz Chohan with 2 wickets from 3 overs and no runs.
This victory ensured that Lancashire retained the North & East Development Title for the second year in a row.
