Lancashire Cricket Board: From North Trafford to Tri-Nations Champions From North Trafford to Tri-Nations Champions ================================================================================ Dipesh Asher on 22/11/2011 13:06:00 LCB North Trafford Cricket Development Coach, Derek Morgan, is also the England Learning Disabilities coach. He comes back home with his victorious team being crowned Tri-Nations Champions. November saw the fourth series of the Learning Disabilties Tri-Nations Tournament take place in South Africa between the hosts, holders Australia and England. Prior to this series Australia have won on all occasions. Derek was hopeful this England LD squad could break the monoply and they have done just that! Ian Martin, ECB National Disabilities Manager, said: "England deserved to be leaving South Africa with the trophy. We were the best side in the tournament by a mile. This is the fourth series we have played in. We didn't win a game in 2005 and 2007. It took us until 2009 to win our first match. Four years of hard work has paid off. I can't put into words what this means. It's quite emotional. You can't put a price on moments like this." Well done to Derek and his team on this great achievement.
