Week commencing 28th May, just one game for U13 girls vs Cheshire

Friday 1st June - Lancashire U13 girls vs Cheshire U13 girls @ Rishton CC
The first game of the season for the U13 girls and we hit the ground running.
Lancashire won the toss and elected to bat first. Eleanor Threlkeld showed to
all why she has been included in the U15 Development side by scoring a well
balanced 54. Eleanor was assisted by Lucy Staunton-Turner who made 18 and then
fell to a great catch on the boundary. Natasha Fenton continued her good form
from the friendly and scored 34, running well between the wickets with Eleanor.
Hannah Jones made a valuable 18* and we posted a good score of 154 for 4 off 35
overs. Cheshire's innings started badly with a run out off the first delivery by
Evie Priestley. Wickets fell regularly with all the bowlers chipping in. Erin
Staunton-Turner returned top figures of 3 for 7.
Cheshire made just 52 giving Lancashire the full 18 points. We have plenty to
work on with 18 wides bowled!
Next up the U13s face Yorkshire @ Unsworth on Thursday 14th June.
