Lancashire Cricket Board: My first attempt at uploading a picture from the past My first attempt at uploading a picture from the past ================================================================================ John Heaton on 11/08/2011 20:17:00 Dipesh showed me how to do this today. If it does not work I am a numtie. I said in one of my earlier Blogs that I had found some old photos I had removed many years ago which I let David English choose from when LSCA staged the Bunbury Festival. I have many old photos stored away and I intend during the winter to bore you with some. I read the article written by an old boy, Michael Atherton, in the Times about his first club, Woodhouses, getting to the National Village Final at Lords in September. I think I have some pictures of him, somewhere, that I will try and dig out. For now we will have to stick with a team picture from 1992 that was in my David English collection. He didn’t use this to my surprise. This picture was taken at Burnley Cricket Club on Tuesday June 30th, 1992 prior to the clash with Yorkshire. This particular Lancashire Under 15 team produced an England International Cricketer, an England International Footballer and a future Lancashire County Cricket Club captain. The first two should be easy but can you pick the third. For those interested the scores were as follows: LANCASHIRE 230 for 4 declared (Neville 125, Flintoff 43, Webb 42) YORKSHIRE 224 for 8 Match Drawn Our Yorkshire colleagues still wax lyrical about that century which for me ranks with one of the finest schoolboy hundreds I have seen. He went off on a Manchester United Youth team tour a few days later. One other player went on to be a top professional in League Cricket as well. Dipesh - IT WORKED !!!!! I'm not a numtie or numptie (ANH).
