Yes, absolutely brilliant, CHAMPIONS at last.

The beauty of this for me though is that most of those in the team squad, right down from Mike Watkinson, have come through the LCB junior set up, local league cricket in lancashire and indeed LSCA cricket which should tell everyone how hard all the mum's and dad's, club cricket coaches, those who run and organise youth cricket and of course supporters work during each summer.

To produce such a team of tallented cricketers from local cricket is testament to our haigh standards and is surely a finger post to other counties. Invetsing in our youth is the way forward.

Well done everyone connected with Lancashire cricket.

Congratulations to all associated with cricket in Lancashire. This is a triumph for the first team squad and coaches etc of course, but the coaches, captains, mentors and all of the "behind the scenes" volunteers at clubs within the county should take a bow. They have played their part.

Congratulations to all associated with cricket in Lancashire. The first respondee, Ted, has said it all really, but the sentiment is worth re-inforcing. Coaches and other volunteers are at the heart of what the clubs are trying to in support of the County first team squad and they, backed up brilliantly by the Lancashire Cricket Board, are doing an excellent job. Great stuff.

Fantastic that Lancs are county champions. I was beginning to think that it would never happen and the feat is completed with local boys! Must be something to do also with the coastal micro climates of Liverpool Southport and Blackpool!
Well done to all at the club
