Lancashire Cricket Board: U14 Boys - National Champions 2011 U14 Boys - National Champions 2011 ================================================================================ jheaton on 25/08/2011 15:01:00 National Champions really does sound good! This is exactly what the Lancashire U14 Boys have achieved this season. The Under 14 County team started by playing a series of ECB 45 Overs Cup matches against eight Northern Counties. This led to being involved in National Finals which had been re-instated for this age group. In addition they took part in the Inter-County Festival at Kings College, Taunton. In addition in 2011 there was a Development “B” Squad that will played three matches allowing selectors to look at players pushing for selection to the main squad. Rudra Singh (Lancashire U14 Boys Head Coach) said: "I'm absolutely delighted for the boys. They are not only a highly talented bunch but have shown a high degree of cricketing intelligence and commitment to hard work. I look forward to seeing them continuing with their successes as they progress through the age groups."
