The prime focus is on the County Age Groups boys and girls from Under 10 to Under 19 level. The U10 to U16 age group programmes and Emerging Players Programme (EPP) is under the direction of Stephen Titchard (LCB Performance Manager). The U17 and U19 boys age groups under the direction of John Stanworth (LCCC Academy Director). The committee is assisted in this by the Lancashire Federation who help organise the Under 19s programme and by LSCA who assist boys age groups from Under 10 to Under 15. As part of the process of ensuring all potential players of the future are identified and developed the LCCC and LCB jointly introduced the LEVELS OF EXCELLENCE SCHEME. 2012 Fixtures 2012 Fixtures of all age group squads for both boys and girls are now available by following this link: LCB County Fixtures 2012. Levels of Excellence Scheme This Scheme monitors and develops young players through LEVELS 1, 2 and 3. Level 1 develops players within the County age group development and match programme. Level 2 identifies players who show potential and performed well at County Age Group Level, with a view to progress into EPP. Level 3 players form the EPP which revolves around a player centred approach and considers how best we can support the development of the selected young players with elite performance potential. As part of the monitoring process all players are expected to submit Log Sheet records on all performances and these details are circulated to coaches and managers on a regular basis. From these returns information about individual performances of merit will be posted and in turn these will be used to identify the Players of the Month throughout the coming season.
