I also would like to thank all the managers and coaches who help ensure these squads perform to their highest level.” John Stanworth (LCCC Academy Director) added: “Our system of identifying and progressing talented players is as robust as it has ever been. The quality of youngsters playing at representative level is encouraging; those developing their skills with the Emerging Player Programme is already in evidence; and I am hopeful of producing players from our Academy who can step up into First Team cricket or at International level in the girls’ game. My thanks to the coaches, players, parents and our volunteers for their commitment throughout the year.” John Heaton (LSCA) further commented: “This evening has been the biggest yet with around 400 players and gusts in attendance in the new venue of The Point.
