Lancashire Cricket Board: Skills Development Programme for County players Skills Development Programme for County players ================================================================================ Dipesh Asher on 06/10/2011 16:16:00 LCB introduce Skills Development Programme for County Boys and Girls only. As an addition to our existing programmes the LCB Performance department is introducing a Skills Development Programme to complement the County Development squad sessions. The programme will commence during October and run through to December 2011. The boys programme will target County players in the U12s – U15s age ranges. Players will attend sessions in their specific skill set of batting, pace bowling, spin bowling and wicket keeping. Fielding skills will be covered in the County Squad Development sessions. Skills Development Programme for girls is to be introduced from the U13s – U17s age ranges. This group will all train together. Tim McKiernan will lead the programme with a team of specialist coaches. Both boys and girls sessions will focus on core fundamentals and skill development in a challenging and fun environment. They will take place at the LCCC Indoor Cricket Centre on the following dates: Spin Bowling/ Wicket Keeping for County Boys: Wednesday 26th October, 9th November, 23rd November, 7th December 2011 from 6-8pm. Coaches: Chris Benbow & Qasim Ali Wicket Keeping: Jonathan Partington Batting for County Boys: Wednesday 2nd November, 16th November, 30th November, 14th December 2011 from 6-8pm. Coaches: Steve Titchard, Mike O’Rourke, Paul Bryson, Rudra Singh Pace Bowling for County Boys: Friday 28th October, 11th November, 25th November, 9th December 2011 from 5-7pm. Coaches: Rudra Singh & Chris Benbow Girls Skill Development Programme: The sessions will take place at Lancashire CCC Indoor Cricket Centre on the following dates: Sunday November 6th November, 20th December, 4th December, 18th 2011 from 5-7pm.
