Sam Dorsey batted well for Lancashire finishing with 82 and Daniel Harrison took three wickets. Saturday 23 June v WALES at Rydal School Match Abandoned Tuesday 26 June v YORKSHIRE at RAINFORD CC YORKSHIRE 119 for 7 (Armer 3-17) LANCASHIRE 112 Yorkshire won by 7 runs Lancashire began well restricting Yorkshire to just 119 off their 40 overs. Jack Armer bowled well taking 3 for 17. The Lancashire reply began slowly but gathered pace and with a few overs left we were in a good position. Wickets were lost at this crucial time allowing Yorkshire to claim victory and retain the Hemingway Trophy by just 7 runs. Monday 2 July v CHESHIRE at Ashley CC Match Abandoned Monday 9 July v WARWICKSHIRE at Nether Whitacre CC Match Abandoned Tuesday 17 July v YORKSHIRE at Scarborough CC YORKSHIRE 149 for 4 LANCASHIRE 108 Yorkshire won by 41 runs Returning to action after almost three weeks with no matches Lancashire found Yorkshire too strong for them on this occasion. They now have two matches in quick time at Greenmount v Notts on Thursday and a re-arranged game on Sunday at Barnton against Cheshire. We have also been able to agree a new date of August 13th for the Wales match at a ground to be confirmed. Thursday 19 July v NOTTINGHAMSHIRE at GREENMOUNT CC (20/20) LANCASHIRE 96 for 3 NOTTINGHAMSHIRE 68 for 5 Match Abandoned Overnight rain delayed the start of this match and thanks to the efforts of Greenmount it was eventually agreed to play a 20/20. Both teams wore their training kits to set the atmosphere of a 20/20 and there was a great deal of skill and effort shown by everyone. Sam Dorsey top scored with 25 and Jack Berry took two wickets but just as matters were getting really exciting the match was washed out by heavy rain.
