Women's Mid-Week T20 League Launched
11 teams will be competing through July and August in a newly formed league for Senior Women.
Women's cricket is taking huge steps forward and Lancashire as a County are attempting to catch up with the fast moving developments. We have introduced a Mid-Week Senior Women's League to bridge the gap between junior cricket, Club Sunday Cricket and County. These teams will be very much at a development stage in the first few years but with a plan to become a very competitive competition in years to come. The league will be run through Lancashire Women's Cricket Development Group (LWCDG) who will meet with representatives throughout the year with support from LCB.
The teams will play mid week, during just July and August in a Twenty20 format with fixtures being announced in the next 2 weeks. All teams are looking for players and volunteers to get involved in any way. If you are interested or know anyone that might be then please contact the relevant teams.

Please note the league is aimed at players right from those who have never played before through to County players. You must be 13 years old to play in the team but many of the teams above also have junior sections and would welcome younger girls. In 2013 we are hoping to expand the league to cover more of the County.
Please also note there is still a team at Bolton Indians CC and Vernon Carus CC who both play Sunday Cricket in a longer format.
