Heaton crowned LCB U11s Pairs Winners 2012

This year's LCB U11s Pairs Final was played at Clitheroe CC on Sunday 9th September 2012 between Clitheroe CC and Heaton CC.

Clitheroe won the toss and selected to bat.

Clitheroe scored 220 for 5 wickets.
Best batting performances George Stewart and Sam Mulligan both scoring 9 runs for the loss of no wickets.
Best bowling figures Thomas McGivern bowled 3 overs for 2 runs taking 2 wickets; Reece Roberts bowled 3 overs for 18 runs taking 3 wickets; James Larkin bowled  3 overs for 2 runs; Harry Jackson 2 overs for 4 runs; Jack Diggle 2 overs for 10 runs.

Heaton scored 221 for 6 wickets.
Best batting performances Reece Roberts 12 not out; Joe Ball 9 not out; Sam Barnett 25 for 2 wickets. Harry Jackson 7 not out; Jordan Crook 8 not out.
Best bowling figures Josh Stanford bowled 3 overs for 4 runs taking 3 wickets. Sam Mulligan bowled 2 overs for 13 runs taking 2 wickets.

Heaton won by 1 run!

Both teams played to a very high standard, in conditions that favoured the bowlers, who were backed up by some outstanding fielding on both sides.

Congratulations to the Heaton boys on their win and well done to Clitheroe for their part in a very exciting game.
