4 New Clubs Elected into League

Club representatives unanimously elected four new clubs into the Bridging Finance Solutions Liverpool and District Cricket Competition 3rd X1 League structure at the Special General Meeting held on 20 November.

Goodlass, Huyton Sports Club, Merseyside Cricket and Cultural Club and Mossley Hill Cricket Clubs have all been admitted with Associate Member status and will begin playing in the 2013 season.

Goodlass and Merseyside Cricket and Cultural Club will play in Saturday Division One and Huyton Sports Club and Mossley Hill 3RD X1 will play in Sunday Division One (South West).

L&DCC Chairman John Williams welcomed the clubs to the Competition and wished them every success. “ We are proud to be an ECB Premier League providing cricket of the very highest standard in our Premier Division” he said, “but the whole league structure of eleven divisions with 128 teams playing cricket every weekend is every bit as important. It is this structure and the competition it generates that underpins our continuing development and success”.
