Clitheroe Cobras on Tour to UAE
A tour party of 23 parents and players aged 11-17 from Clitheroe Cobras headed out to the UAE for a series of matches against local academy sides.
The tourists were certainly tested by the strength of the opposition, the surfaces and the heat. Following a disappointing start the Cobras managed to win the last 2 games against British School Abu Dhabi and Desert Cubs Academy respectively thus finishing the Tour on a high.
In addition to the cricket, there was time for a trip up the world's tallest building (Burj), a desert safari and a trip around Palm Island. The tourists also managed to watch the England U19 victorious against India at the Dubai Stadium before heading home with many fond memories and a nice sun tan!
