Come And Celebrate Trafford Day

Emirates Old Trafford is throwing open its doors on Saturday 17 May to celebrate everything that is good about the game we all love.

'Trafford Day' will definitely be a date to put in your diaries as the home of Lancashire County Cricket Club will be serving up a double helping of cricket with plenty of side offerings to fill your appetite whether you are a seasoned connoisseur or you will be experiencing the sound of leather on willow for the very first time.

The grassroots of the game will be on display from 2:15pm when the Lancashire Cricket Board (LCB) will host a showcase recreational T20 match between the Central Lancashire League representative XI and the Last Man Stands XI.

This will be a great opportunity for the amateur players of the sport to show their skills and passion for the game in front of a large crowd. The teams have just recently been announced:

Following this game, Lancashire Lightning, buoyed by their England stars, James Anderson, Jos Buttler and Stephen Parry, the latter two of whom will be returning from playing in the ICC T20 World Cup, will pit their wits against Worcestershire Royals (7pm) to mark the start of their NatWest T20 Blast home campaign.

Throughout the day, there will be a number of activities to keep everybody entertained and we will also be showing the FA Cup Final on video screens throughout the ground.
