Scorers Courses 2012-13

The LCBACO have the following Scorers courses for 2012-13 programme.

SCOREBOOK ENTRY COURSE

ASTLEY BRIDGE CC

 One evening only TUESDAY 19th MARCH 2013 open to anyone interested in the basic method of “Recording” or “Scoring” a game of cricket.

Cost £5 all course material provided.

 

FLOWERY FIELD CC

There will be an introduction to scoring at Flowery Field CC on Wednesday April 10th, starting at 7.30pm finishing at 9.30pm. This course is designed for those wishing to learn the basic symbols used to score with and how to complete a scoresheet. Cost of course is £5  per head. It is suitable for new comers or those wanting to refresh their knowledge before the season starts. Just turn up on the night if you are interested.

Cost £5 all course material provided.

 

LEVEL 1 SCORING COURSE

ASTLEY BRIDGE CC

 Starting at 7.30 pm on TUESDAY MARCH 26th, and continuing on the 9th, 16th, 23rd, APRIL 2013.
This course is open to any person who is interested in improving their skills in “scoring” the game of cricket, and for any acting “Scorer” who is interested in gaining an ECB ACO Level 1 qualification in scoring.
The course is presented in power point format and runs for 4 weeks
At the end of which there is an exam, if the candidate is interested in gaining the ECB ACO LEVEL 1 qualification.
Book Before: 8th MARCH 2013 (closing date for course material to ordered).

 

KIRKHAM & WESHAM CC

There will be a Level 1 Scorers course run at Kirkham and Wesham CC over two weeks. Dates: March 9th 2013 - 10:00; March 13th - 19:30; March 16th - 10:00; March 20th - 19:30. Each session will last two hours. Final day for booking a place is February 4th 2013.

 

Cost £40 all course material provided, plus 12 months membership to ECB ACO which provides support, a good insurance cover and help where needed. Also provided: Scorers bag and some equipment, a copy of Tom Smith Umpiring and Scoring Book, a course work book and a pocket size copy of the MCC Laws.

LEVEL 1A

 

ASTLEY BRIDGE CC

This course is an assessment course and is being run at Astley Bridge CC, Moss Bank Way, Bolton on 12th March 2013 from 7.30p.m to 9.30pm.

It is open to members of the ACO who have passed their Level 1 Scorer's exam and wish to be assessed for Level 1A. Candidates must have scored 10 matches so must bring along their scorebooks for assessment on the night. Cost of the course is £10.
