On Tuesday 30th July, 2 days before the Ashes Test Match at Emirates Old Trafford, the ECB Association of Cricket Officials have arranged 'An Evening with the Ashes Umpires' for members of the ACO.

The evening will take the form of a speaker’s panel following which members of the audience will be able to ask questions. The panel will consist of, subject to final confirmation, the two match umpires, Tony Hill and Marais Erasmus, the third umpire, Kumar Dharmasena and the Match Referee, Ranjan Madugalle. Questions around the use of ‘hotspot’ immediately spring to mind!

The venue has been confirmed as Crowne Plaza : Manchester City Centre,  70 Shudehill, Manchester. The start time will be 7.30pm and there is no charge for entry nor do you need to book a place.

If you are not a member of the ECB ACO but are interested in attending then please contact Hugh Evans by e-mail at evanz@blueyonder.co.uk.

Please support this venture and give the ICC officials a warm and friendly 'Lancashire' welcome.

Hugh Evans (LCB Association of Cricket Officials Treasurer)
