Players showing potential at school and / or club level may be nominated and selected for the District programme at U11, U13 and U15 age groups.

DISTRICT CRICKET U15 – AINSWORTH TROPHY

The Lancashire Cricket Board's Performance Department will fund and oversee in partnership with the 3 Cricket Partnership Groups to arrange and administer group matches that are likely to be played in April and May. District matches will be a talent identification tool for the newly introduced U15s Regional Festival Cricket which will take place at the end of May.

The configuration of teams qualifying through to the quarter-final stages of the competition will be the same as in 2013, Lancashire Partnership and the Greater Manchester Partnership providing 3 local winning U15 Districts, with Merseyside and South West Lancashire Partnership providing 2 teams.

Player eligibility: Main County Boys players playing at age U14 in 2013 and any players subsequently picked in the Main County U15 side in 2014 are not eligible to play in District Cricket. Main County Boys players at age 14 in 2013 not selected in the main squad in 2014, when known, will then be eligible for District Cricket. Main County Boys players from the 2013 U13s squad are eligible at this age group.

LSCA (in association with the LCB) will organise and administer matches from the quarter-final stage (4 x quarter-finals; 2 x semi-finals and 1 final). Rules as in 2013.

DISTRICT CRICKET U13 – HACKING CUP

The Lancashire Cricket Board's Performance Department will fund and oversee with the Cricket Partnerships Cricket Development Groups to arrange and administer group matches that are likely to be played in April and May. District games will be a talent identification tool for the newly introduced U13s Area Festival Cricket which will take place at the end of May.

The configuration of teams qualifying through to the quarter-final stages of the competition will be the same as in 2013, Lancashire Partnership and the Greater Manchester Partnership providing 3 local winning U13 Districts, with Merseyside and South West Lancashire Partnership providing 2 teams.

Player eligibility: Main County Boys players playing at age U12 in 2013 and any players subsequently picked in the Main County U13 side in 2014 are not eligible to play in District Cricket. Main County Boys players at age 12 in 2013 not selected in the main squad in 2014, when known, will then be eligible for District Cricket. Main County Boys players from the 2013 U11s squad are eligible at this age group.

Congratulations to Burnley CDG Under 13s on their win over Bolton Under 13s in the final to take the Hacking Cup for 2014.

DISTRICT CRICKET U11 – BOB HURST TROPHY

Cricket Partnerships working with Cricket Development Groups are to arrange and administer group matches within each of the three development areas.

The configuration of teams qualifying through to the quarter-final stages of the competition will be the same as in 2013, Lancashire Partnership and the Greater Manchester Partnership providing 3 local winning U11 Districts, with Merseyside and South West Lancashire Partnership providing 2 teams.

Player eligibility: Main County Boys players from the previous year’s Under 10 County side are eligible to play in District Cricket at this age group and if a player is picked for U11s in 2014 is also eligible.

LSCA (in association with the LCB) will organise and administer matches from the quarter-final stage (4 x quarter-finals; 2 x semi-finals and 1 final). Rules as in 2013.

Congratulations to Wigan CDG Under 11s on their win over Bury Under 11s in the final to take the Bob Hurst Trophy for 2014.
