Under 15 Boys - Fixture Programme 2012
The season began with the annual North Lancashire v South Lancashire match.
Originally scheduled for St Annes Cricket Club on Wednesday May 16th the game was switched at the last minute to Stretford Cricket Club. The Lancashire coastal clubs had suffered from the bad weather of Monday and Tuesday and St Annes was waterlogged. We are very grateful to Stretford for the way the responded. Cricket parents are used to last minute problems and all players appeared at Stretford as directed.
The South emerged as winners after scoring 174 for 9 off their 50 overs and bowling their opponents out for 131. Saad Khan with 61 top scored for the South and Callum Parkinson was the pick of the North’s bowlers with 3 for 24. The North’s response began positively with Calum Turner playing on his home ground standing out. When he was out for 58 the innings fell away. Saqib Mahmood ended with figures of 4 for 20.
After the game the team for the 90th Anniversary match at Old Trafford was announced.
