Special Excellence Intranet Message

We are up and running (well walking to begin with)

I am delighted to say that that the Excellence Intranet which allows registered Levels of Excellence Players to input match performance details is now on the LCB Website.

 

Go to www.lancashirecricket.co.uk and click on Representative on the top bar.

 

Move your cursor to the bottom item on the dropdown menu = Excellence Intranet – and click.

 

This should bring up the entry page to complete what we still call Log A entries. This is for matches played below county level – for District, School, Club, League etc.

 

To gain access you will need to enter your email address in the user name field and then your SURNAME in capitals in the Password box. This will bring up a screen which will allow you to look at brief personal details or enter a Log A Form. Click on Log A at the left hand edge of the Player Information. This will first time round bring up the message “No Records Founds”. Click on “Add New Record” and a blank record will appear. Please try to use the same format of Capital Letters at the start of a word followed by lowercase.

 

This system should have been available at the beginning of May. I offer my apologies for its delayed arrival. We agreed to some exciting changes to the Excellence Intranet which would have made it much more useful in administrative, coaching and cricket information. The major problem was sitting the Levels Database in its midst. As the season progresses I am hoping that many of the new features we have lying in waiting will be introduced. An important feature will be the introduction of software to enable email correspondence to be handled more efficiently.

 

To this end with the assistance of players, parents and managers we need to go through a major exercise in ensuring all details on the Levels Database are spot up to date. If in trying to get on the Intranet your user name and password does not work please email me. Where there are two young players from the same family I am aware that differing email addresses have been used. There are others though where we have had to create a second user name that is not an actual email address. This applies now to the Heaton family. Simples.

 

We ask that all matches are recorded but in this instance for matches played up to the current time just enter performances where 40 or more runs have been scored, 4 or more wickets have been taken or 3 or more catches / stumpings snatched.

 

We have decided not to ask you to fill in Log B forms any more. I now get all the score sheets from Play Cricket and will enter the details on the Website as they become available.

 

I know that many of our young players like to see their performances in lights on the website, and I do know that we have had some centurions already. So get cracking and use the Intranet.

 

I am hoping that possibly by the end of next week I will have the individual team pages on the website and the first of the Player Performances Pages for June (to include April and May).
