Skills Development Programme for Junior County Players
County Boys and Girls see a return of the LCB Skills Development Programme which is back for 2012.
As an addition to our existing programmes the LCB Performance department is continuing the Skills Development Programme to complement the County Development squad sessions.
The programme will commence during October and run through to December 2012. The boys programme will target County players in the U13s – U15s age ranges. Players will attend sessions in their specific skill set of batting, pace bowling, spin bowling and wicket keeping. Fielding skills will be covered in the County Squad Development sessions. Stephen Titchard the LCB Performance Manager will lead the programme with a team of specialist coaches.
Skills Development Programme for girls will continue from the U13s – U19s age ranges. Players will be selected from the County age group programme that have the potential to progress within our system. Jenny Laycock the LCB Women and Girls Cricket Development Officer will lead the programme with a team of specialist coaches.
Both boys and girls sessions will focus on core fundamentals and skill development in a challenging and fun environment. They will take place at the LCCC Indoor Cricket Centre on the following dates:
Spin Bowling / Wicket Keeping for County Boys:
Wednesday 17th October, 31st October, 14th November and 28th November 2012 from 6-8pm.
Coaches: Chris Benbow, Qasim Ali
Wicket Keeping: Jonathan Partington, Daniel Atkinson
Batting for County Boys:
Wednesday 24th October, 7th November, 21st November and 5th December 2012 from 6-8pm.
Coaches: Stephen Titchard, Joe Scuderi, Paul Bryson, Rudra Singh
Pace Bowling for County Boys:
Friday 19th October, 2nd November, 16th November and 30th November 2012 from 5-7pm.
Coaches: Rudra Singh, Chris Benbow, Stephen Titchard
Girls Skill Development Programme:
The sessions will take place at Lancashire CCC Indoor Cricket Centre on the following dates:
Sunday 4th November, 18th November, 2nd December and 16th December 2012 from 5-7pm.
