Nalisha heads to EWDP U19 Competition at Wellington College in Berkshire next week
Hard work has paid off for Nalisha Patel as she heads to take part in the U19 England Development Programme next week
Nalisha has been rewarded for her hard work and consistent bowling over this season with a place on the U19 England Women's Development Programme (EWDP) at Wellington College in Berkshire next week. She is an off -spin bowler who also bats in the top order. She attends Bolton School Girls Division, represents Horwich RMI CC and Bolton Women. She is captain of the U15 County girls, plays a key role at U17 and has cemented a place in the 1st X1.
Nalisha will be one of the top players at U19 level in the Country and at just 14 this is a great achievement. She has gone from strength to strength this year after spending the winter on Lancashire's Emerging Players Programme working on her fielding, fitness and key areas of her game. Nalisha spent Monday 6th August at Loughborough with 30 other young spin bowlers where she spent time learning her trade.
Alex Hartley (18) will also be at the EWDP U19 competition a left arm spin bowler who is a regular 1st X1 bowler. We wish them both the best of luck for the week.
