All 3 County girls age groups are now through to National Semi Finals next week after U13s completed a thrilling victory over Middlesex yesterday.

The Lancashire girls have made history, completing the trio of teams through to ECB National Finals next week.

U13s topped their group but needed to play a quarter finals yesterday at Northern CC against Middlesex. Lancashire lost the toss and were asked to bat on a damp wicket. We scored slowly initially but a good partnership between Natasha Fenton (48) and Eleanor Graham (16) enabled us to post a decent score of 144 in 35 overs.  In reply Middlesex ran very well between the wickets despite a wicket falling first ball of the innings (Evie Priestley bowled their opener). The board kept ticking over and at half way Middlesex were 61 for 2 with 2 batters set. Middlesex continued to pick easy singles until Nicole Harvey took the chance we had been waiting for and threw the stumps down. A broken partnership created the chance the girls needed. Natasha Fenton took the ball and turned the game around. 3 wickets for Natasha, 2 for Georgina Bolton and 3 run outs the girls turned a very close game into a win. Well done for holding your nerve when it counted!

U15s topped their group, winning 6 and losing 2 to the weather. They go onto play Monday in Semi finals vs. Kent @ Dunstable CC. The finals and 3/4th play off are on Tuesday. This is a great achievement to get this far with a young side, just 3 girls are 15, the rest are 14. Good luck girls.

U17s topped their group with 6 wins, 2 cancelled due to rain and 1 conceded by opposition. They go through to National Semi Finals vs. Hampshire on Wednesday @ Reading CC. The finals and 3/4th play off will be Thursday. This team have exceeded all expectations with just 2 17 year olds in the side and 5 U15s we have a bright future ahead. Good luck girls.

U13s go through to the Semi Finals on Wednesday vs. Yorkshire at Wokingham CC. Finals and plays off for 3.4th will be Thursday. Can they defend their National Champions title?

Good Luck to all the girls taking part. You have achieved a lot so far, can we go the whole way! All of the squads will be represented at the Pro40 Semi Finals next Saturday as part of the guard of honour at Old Trafford as a showcase for girls cricket in the County.
