County Girls Skills Programme - Players Selected
22 girls have been selected to take part in the LCB skills programme where they will recieve specilised coaching tailored to their discipline.
The Skills Programme for the girls is run slightly different to the boys where a small group of girls is selected in each of the disciplines. They will then attend 4 2 hour sessions to work on their skills, understanding their game and develop as cricketers. There will be level 3 coaches on hand to guide the players. The Skills Programme sits just below the Emerging Players Programme (EPP) and gives the coaches a chance to assess the players for their readiness for the EPP.
The players below have been selected by squad coaches, Jen Laycock (W&GCDO) and Steve Titchard Performance Manager. They have been highlighted as being the top players in their age group at their particular discipline. During these sessions the girls will also attend workshops on various topics including fitness and it’s important for cricket, player pathway- LCB and ECB, and Performance Analysis.
