Cross coaching new Heywood CC U9s squad

Lancashire Women and England Women pace bowler Kathryn Cross has been offered the coaching role for the new Heywood CC U9s squad.

Cross is a product of the Heywood CC youth cricket system who has become arguably the most successful player ever to come out of Crimble.

Kate (as she is known by most people), 20, was in the Lancashire Academy and is currently in the England Women setup. This year she is combining her studies at The University of Leeds with her ambitions of becoming an international player but, fortunately for Heywood, she’s also running the newly-formed U9s side.
