He is the current National coach for Spain who come under the International Cricket Council – Europe and is the England Disabilities coach.

Bobby achieved his Level I back in 1994 and hasn’t looked back since. He has always been enthused by his cricket coaching and is also a highly regarded tutor delivering coaching courses within Lancashire and beyond.

Bobby Denning commented:

“I am really proud of my achievement and the next step for me as part of my continued professional development is to meet with the ECB to look at my options, further develop my coaching skills and existing coaching roles.”

Andrew Hayhurst (Director of the Lancashire Cricket Board) further commented:

“This is an excellent achievement by one of the leading Cricket Development Managers in the country. This further confirms Lancashire as producing not only some of the best cricketers, but also the best coaches in the country. We congratulate Bobby on his achievement and wish him every success in his future endeavours as a coach. Long may his contribution to Lancashire cricket continue.”

ECB Level IV Coaching Qualification

Aspects of the course, along with cricket specifics like batting, bowling, etc, included Advanced Coaching and Management Skills, Psychology, Physiology, Bio-mechanics and Working Towards Integration.

The course further builds on learning acquired before, during and after ECB Head Coach (UKCC3) by bringing together experienced coaches from the performance / excellence environment. It develops coaches’ existing skills in motivating, managing and developing individual players and teams to enable them to attain higher standards and in the day to day management of others.

Bobby achieved top marks for his ongoing assignments: Advanced Coaching Skills, Psychology, Bio-mechanics and Physiology. For his final assignment he had to produce a portfolio of work undertaken with a player over a 12 month period (James Dixon England Deaf Cricketer) and specifically carry out a 30 minute presentation and two 1 hour interviews to explore in detail all aspects of the Level IV modules.
