County Age Group awards 2018
Lancashire Cricket's County Age Group awards presentation took place in The Point at Emirates Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.
The night was a celebration to recognise both team and individual success throughout the Red Rose age groups during 2018.
Director of Cricket, Paul Allott, kicked the night off with a welcome, before handing over to the host and former Lancashire and England wicket-keeper, Warren Hegg.
Allott and Hegg were joined in attendance by current Lancashire all-rounder Danny Lamb and Lancashire Thunder player and Women's captain Eve Jones - who handed out the awards.
Each age group, boys and girls, were brought forward as their seasons achievements were read out, with their respective Player of the Season crowned afterwards.
The main awards of the night were announced last - the Cedric Rhodes Player of the Season, to recognise outstanding performances chosen from across all of the age group pathway.
The boys award was won by Sam Dorsey of Lancashire U17s for his 721 runs in the season and five wickets in the National Final against Essex.
Olivia Thomas was the winners of the girls prize, enjoying a strong campaign as Lancashire U17 Girls were crowned ECB County Cup champions.
